Legend of the Seeker: season one now on DVD!

Hey Babies!  :wave:

`margotdent and I have made it quite clear that we're fans of the syndicated television show Legend of the Seeker.  Big fans?  Yes.  Obsessed fans?  Likely.  The kind of fans who seriously considering vacationing in New Zealand (where the show is filmed) to try and raid the set?  Yea, you're getting the idea.

Believe us when we tell you we're insanely excited that Legend of the Seeker season one is coming out on DVD today!  This gives you just enough time to plop yourself down in front of a TV and catch up marathon style before season two starts on November 7th.  Plus, the season one DVD set contains bonus features -- the good kind!  Deleted scenes, audio commentary, and on set footage.  

Once you’re up to speed, you can gab with `margotdent, me, and the other #hangintherebaby Seekers of Truth about subjects included, but not limited to:

Wizard fire, slow motion fighting, perfectly coiffed hair, epic cleavage, and the hilarity of mistaken identity.  But wait, there's more!  Let's not forget about the awkwardness of naked old men holding chickens, the creepy creeperness of (hot) Darken Rahl, and the seksey time power of the Mord-Siths!  This show couldn't get any better.  Just ask $eStunt who watched all of season one in less than two days.

WHENS SEASON 2 OUT IN THE UK??? PLEASE TELL ME!
I saw it was advertised for next saturday....and then saw it was only on in the US...Why do they have to get everything first???! No Fair! lol!

I'm now utterly deflated. POP!

Does anyone know if this will be on Blu-ray? wikipedia says it was filmed in HD but I can't find it!

Some one PLEASE tell me that this is the story of Richard and Jedd and the sword of truth and I could go on and on because if it is, I've read the entire series. From Wizards First Rule to Confessor. I'm going to check on HULU and see if I can find it there.WOW!;wow:

Very Cool. I found a couple of episodes on HULU. They seem to be keeping to the original story. I just hope they run the whole series. Terry Goodkind is an amazing story teller. His characters are very believable. From what I've seen, Richard could have been taller and Darken Rahl should have been a little older. But all in all, I like what I've seen. Thanks for posting this, otherwise I may have never known about it. It says it's on ABC. I'll have to check my listings. If you haven't read the books, you really should. Boarders has the complete set minus Debt of Bones in sets of 3&4. There ar a total of 12 books.

I'm in NZ.
And I'm gonna get sigs from Craig Horner (Richard), Bridget Reagan (Kahlan), Craig Parker (Rahl) and that random who plays Cara and possibly even talk to them (gasp??) on Labour Weekend =D!

Not that they'll be the greatest, my camera is crappy - even my phone takes better pics. I might just use that.

Tis the Armageddon Expo. It will be epic, there's a Mars Bar eating competition...
...and, of course, famous peoples may just take part. Because that's just what they do.

I bought the HD version of the first season on iTunes when it released, so now I have to decide if I want to buy it on DVD. The extra features are probably worth it, and the DVD format would let me more easily share the experience with friends.

I read this series a few years ago and I desperately wanted this stuff to become more widespread either as a movie or as a tv series. Couldn't be happier now that it's happened. I only hope this series stays on for many many more seasons to come.
